Flannel Friday: 3 Little Fish and the Big Bad Shark

It’s a two-fer Flannel Friday kind of day! Sharing an enlarged prop version of The Three Little Fish and the Big Bad Shark – a fantastic book AND a fun flannel! Or in this case, a fun posterboard prop/puppet story.

This twist on the classic tale tells the story of three young fish who set out into the sea and build their underwater homes out of various materials: sand, seaweed and a wooden shipwreck. A shark chases them from dwelling to dwelling until breaking his teeth on the shipwreck. They all live happily ever after: the fish stay safe, and the shark discovers the nutritious delight of seaweed.

The audience loves joining in the refrain:

Shark: “Little fish, little fish, let me in!”

Fish: “Not by the skin of my finny fin fin!”

Shark: “Then I’ll munch and I’ll crunch and I’ll smash your house in!”

Flannel Friday is sharing Extreme Makeovers all fall long! Give an old flannel a fresh look and share via the Flannel Friday Tumblr. Submissions will be rounded up and shared in December. New to Flannel Friday? Learn more here!
