Happy Flannel Friday for the first time in… a LONG time. Thought I’d share some easy peasy flannels to go with the upcoming “Universe of Stories” Summer Reading theme or a bedtime/night/outer space storytime!
My first flannel is a fun one for babies. I used our Ellison die cut for the moon and star, then added a little tail onto the star. I love the simple gestures in this song – easy for babies to imitate! Young toddlers also enjoy doing this song standing up and jumping when the shooting star goes by.
A Big Night Sky
Tune of “A Ram Sam Sam”
A big night sky, a big night sky.
(hold hands spaced wide apart)
Little crescent moon in a big night sky.
(bring hands close together for little moon, then widen)
A big night sky, a big night sky.
Little crescent moon in a big night sky.
A shooting star – WOOSH!
(lift baby into the air)
A shooting star – WOOSH!
(lift baby into the air)
And a little crescent moon in a big night sky!
