Back with the last of my large posterboard flannel makeovers for Outside Storytimes! This time I’m sharing Multipurpose Posterboard Pete, which can be used to tell both Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes and Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons.
First I painted Pete’s blue cat body base on a giant foam posterboard.
Then I hot glued a yellow felt shirt onto Pete. I cut a slit in the felt shirt so that it can be opened to reveal Pete’s belly button!
Pete’s buttons are also made of felt and attach to his shirt with velcro dots. The shoes are made out of stiff posterboard and attach to Pete’s feet with hook and loop velcro dots.
