Have you ever played Doggy, Doggy, Where’s Your Bone? This circle game was an inside recess staple in my kindergarten classroom! When pet storytime week rolled around last year, I just knew I had to adapt this fun game into a flannel.

I hid different doggy accessories behind my zoo animal faces: a collar, a ball, and of course the dog bone. Then we rhymed and looked underneath for the bone thief!
Doggy, Doggy, Where’s Your Bone? (Classic Rhyme)
Doggy, doggy, where’s your bone?
Somebody took it from your home!
Guess who! Was it you?
Or was it a monkey from the zoo?
Repeat with other zoo animals

Doggy, Doggy, Where’s Your Bone? (Version 2)
Doggy, doggy, where’s your bone?
Somebody took it from your home!
Who could it be? It wasn’t me!
Maybe it was zebra, let’s go see!
Repeat with other zoo animals
This would be such a fun flannel to go with the Tails and Tales Summer Reading Theme! Are you a CSLP Library, or do you do your own theme? Either way, I hope you’ll take up your scissors and craft with Flannel Friday all summer long during the #FFSummerReading21 Round Up!
