Top Ten Tuesday: Bookish Peeps I’d Like to Meet

Thanks to the 2022 ALSC Institute last year and CCIRA this year, I’ve met so many amazing authors/educators/library pals! Here’s some more bookish folks I hope to meet someday soon:

Bookish Peeps Collage

Angie Manfredi @ Fat Girl Reading

Angie and I were CHEATED out of meeting years ago at a UW Madison Power Up Conference. 😭

Claribel Ortega

Dan Santat

Dana and Lindsey @ Jbrary

Probably a pipe dream, but some day I hope to meet library land’s most famous blogging duo!

Jarrett Lerner

Katherine Applegate

Some day I hope to thank Katherine Applegate for making me a reader…. and frankly saving my childhood self by giving me fictional worlds to escape to. I wouldn’t be who I am today without her and the worlds she created!

Kelly Yang

Kwame Alexander

I’ve been privileged to attend a few online events where Kwame Alexander was a guest speaker. I can’t imagine how amazing it would be to hear him speak IRL!

Kyle Lukoff

I’ll never forget celebrating with Kyle virtually during the 2022 ALA YMA Awards (thanks for the invite, Angie!) Some day I want to congratulate Kyle in person!

Mike Jung

One of my life goals is getting my copy of The Boys in the Back Row signed by Mike! Surely we will run into each other at a library conference one day?

Top Ten Tuesday

The Artsy Reader Girl currently hosts Top Ten Tuesday, an original feature created by The Broke and the Bookish. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic.

Technically that was eleven people. Oops!

Who would you like to meet? Did you list authors or bloggers or book characters? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. I totally agree that it would be so cool to meet Lindsey and Dana @ Jbrary. They have been such a valuable resource to me as I have been learning how to do Storytimes.
